1. ULTRA-COMPACT

Mini-R measures just 69.5 mm long, giving you a much smaller antenna footprint for tight installs, crowded racks, mobile setups, and anywhere full-size antennas are taking over the hardware.

2. FULL 360° ROTATION

Straight up, angled over, or somewhere in between. Mini-R rotates a full 360° and can be positioned straight or bent, giving you more control over how each antenna sits around the router.

3. 4G/5G + WI-FI

One compact antenna family covers both sides of the router. Cellular Mini-R antennas support a broad range of 4G and 5G frequencies, while the Wi-Fi version covers 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz.

4. 2X2 + 4X2 KITS

Match the kit to the router. The 2x2 kit includes two cellular and two Wi-Fi antennas, while the 4x2 kit includes four cellular and two Wi-Fi antennas.

FAQs

We figured you’d ask.

1. When should I choose Mini-R instead of Mini?

Choose Mini-R when you want a compact antenna setup with more flexibility around the router. Mini uses a fixed 90° connector, while Mini-R can rotate 360° and sit straight or bent, giving you more control over how the antennas fit around the hardware.

2. How does the 360° rotation help during installation?

It lets you reposition the antenna after it’s connected instead of being locked into one angle. Mini-R can sit straight or bent, making it easier to work around cables, nearby equipment, limited clearance, or other antennas without moving the router itself.

3. Does bending or rotating Mini-R affect antenna performance?

It can. Antenna performance varies by frequency band and position, which is why Mini-R is tested in both straight and bent configurations. The best position will depend on the router, installation, and surrounding environment.

4. Do I need to aim Mini-R at a cell tower?

No. Mini-R is omni-directional, so the rotation is mainly about fit and positioning around the router, not precisely pointing the antenna toward one specific tower.

5. Which routers work with Mini-R Antennas?

Mini-R pairs with Katalyst Spark and Kadet, along with compatible cellular routers using the correct SMA and RP-SMA antenna connections. Both 2x2 and 4x2 kits are available to match different router configurations.

6. Mini-R 2x2 or 4x2: which kit do I need?

Match the kit to the router’s cellular antenna setup. The 2x2 kit includes two cellular and two Wi-Fi antennas, while the 4x2 kit includes four cellular and two Wi-Fi antennas.

7. Which connectors do Mini-R Antennas use?

The cellular Mini-R antennas use SMA male connectors, while the Wi-Fi versions use RP-SMA male connectors. Make sure each antenna matches the corresponding cellular or Wi-Fi port on the router.

8. Which cellular and Wi-Fi frequencies does Mini-R support?

Mini-R cellular antennas cover 600–960 MHz, 1400–2690 MHz, and 3300–6000 MHz. The Wi-Fi versions support 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands.

9. Are Mini-R Antennas built for demanding environments?

Yes. Mini-R uses a durable POM housing and is rated for operating temperatures from -40°F to 185°F, making it suitable for a wide range of business, mobile, equipment, and field installations.
