Introducing the Kadet K300NB Router — the ultimate ally your business needs to stay connected.

1 2 3 4

1. 5G/4G CELLULAR

Why wait on cable or fiber to get a location online? Kadet uses 5G/4G cellular as the connection in, giving businesses a fast way to get connected without depending on local wired infrastructure.

2. WI-FI 6

Got a lot connected? Good. Kadet supports up to 200 devices across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi 6, with coverage up to roughly 5,000 sq. ft. That means plenty of room for POS systems, laptops, cameras, tablets, and everything else fighting for bandwidth.

3. Dual-SIM

Why bet the connection on one carrier? Kadet has two SIM slots and can automatically switch to the backup if the preferred cellular connection drops. One carrier has a bad day, the other gets the job.

4. PRIMARY OR FAILOVER

Need cellular full-time? Use it. Already have wired internet? Keep it. Kadet can run as the primary connection or switch to cellular if the Ethernet WAN connection goes down.

FAQs

We saved you a search.

1. What is the Kadet K300NB Router?

Kadet is a 5G/4G LTE business router built for fixed locations. It uses cellular connectivity to get businesses online and supports Wi-Fi 6, dual SIM, Ethernet WAN, and up to 200 connected devices.

2. What is a fixed wireless access router?

A fixed wireless access router uses a cellular network to deliver internet to a fixed location instead of relying on a cable or fiber connection.

Kadet is built for exactly that, giving offices, retail locations, warehouses, and other businesses a 5G/4G connection without tying the site to wired infrastructure.

3. How does Kadet connect to the internet?

Pop in an activated SIM card and Kadet connects through a cellular network, similar to your phone. You can also connect an existing internet connection through the Ethernet WAN port.

4. Can I use Kadet as my primary internet connection?

Yep. Kadet can use 5G/4G cellular as the primary internet connection for a business, which comes in handy when cable or fiber isn’t available, isn’t practical, or simply isn’t how you want to connect.

5. Can I use it for internet failover?

Yep. Connect your existing internet service through Ethernet WAN and the router can switch to cellular if that connection goes down. Your backup connection is already sitting there waiting.

6. Which cellular carriers does Kadet support?

Kadet is certified for Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile, so you can use the carrier that makes the most sense for the location.

7. Does it support dual SIM?

Yes. Kadet has two SIM slots, so you can keep two cellular connections on deck. Set a preferred SIM and the router can automatically switch to the other if that connection drops.

8. Can I use Kadet with my existing router or firewall?

Yes. Kadet supports options including IP Passthrough and Drop-in Gateway mode for setups where you want to keep existing network equipment in place. The right configuration depends on how the rest of the network is set up.

9. Does Kadet support Wi-Fi 6?

Yes. Kadet supports Wi-Fi 6 on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, with capacity for up to 200 connected devices. That gives businesses plenty of room for laptops, POS systems, cameras, tablets, phones, and everything else piling onto the network.

10. How many devices can connect to Kadet at once?

Up to 200. Laptops, POS systems, tablets, cameras, phones, smart devices. There’s plenty of room for the stuff your business keeps adding to the network.

11. How much Wi-Fi coverage does it provide?

Up to approximately 5,000 square feet. Building materials, placement, and the surrounding environment can affect actual coverage, so where you put the router still matters.

12. How hard is it to set up?

Pretty straightforward. Connect the antennas, insert an activated SIM, power it up, and connect by Ethernet or Wi-Fi.

The router will attempt to configure the cellular connection automatically, with manual APN settings available when a carrier requires them.

13. Can I manage Kadet remotely?

Yes. Kadet supports remote management through kCLOUD, so you can manage supported router functions without being physically in front of the device. Firmware updates can also be handled remotely through kCLOUD.

14. What’s the difference between Kadet and Spark?

Kadet is the router you plug in and leave in place. It’s built for fixed business locations with continuous power. Spark is built to move, with a built-in battery that keeps the connection going when an outlet isn’t part of the plan.

Fixed location? Kadet. Taking the connection with you? Spark.

15. Where can I buy a Kadet router?
